Theme: Don't use your position for worldly gain

Michael thinks that Mr. Richter is so cool, and when Mr. Richter volunteers to get Michael into a kick-boxing class, even though the deadline is passed, Michael jumps at the chance. His dad, however. says no.

Justin takes a summer math class, and works himself too hard trying to get everything right. Mary helps him to realize that he needs to take it easy, and trust God more. Mr. Richter trys again to get Michael into the class, but John again says no, because it isn't fair.

Theme: Seeing our own sin

The rest of the Donnor family moves into town, and Anthony Donnor quickly takes Caleb Richter's place at quarterback on the football team. Mr. Richter trys all kinds of bribes, but Coach Majesksi won't change his mind. Michael overhears Mr. Richter, and realizes how fortunate he is to have his dad.

Theme: Being a servant even when nobody sees

Tim decides to run for second grade leader, and his platform is being a servant. He helps everyone at school, but is a first class jerk at home. He soon realizes how he's acting when he teacher sees him fighting with Haley.

Theme: Being desperate for God

Anthony Donnor gets hurt at the regional finals, and everyone is wondering if he will be well enough to play at the semi-finals. The Richters want him to be hurt, but Caleb doesn't seem to. Anthony plays in the semi-finals, but gets hurt again, and can't play at the state finals.

Theme: Being desperate for God

Caleb Richter is not happy that he has to play at the state finals, and he figures Anthony must hate him because of all the promotions he parents are doing. When John convinces him to go visit Anthony, he finds out that the opposite is true. Caleb goes on to win the finals game.
